SOING has been collaborating with the Archaeological Superintendence of Tuscany for the “Roman Amphitheatre in Volterra” Project since November 2015.
The partnership was underwritten by a sponsorship agreement for a term of 2 years. For the project, SOING is carrying out important geophysical surveys in order to reconstruct the amphitheatre’s elliptical plant precisely, thanks to which, as soon as funds for the excavation will be available, the Superintendence will be able to fine-tune the design, excavation and enhancement operations for one of the most important recently discovered archaeological sites.
